Beekman 1802

Beekman 1802 provides an alternative to traditional soaps and personal beauty products with an array of products featuring goat milk from the Beekman farm in New York State.

Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Dr. Brent Ridge, partners in business and life, founded Beekman 1802 in 2008.

Brent was a doctor specializing in geriatrics at New York City’s Mount Sinai who Martha Stewart tapped to helm the health and wellness division at her company, and Josh was a New York Times best-selling writer.

When Dr. Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell lost their jobs in the recession of 2008, they decamped to their weekend property in rural upstate New York–population 532.

Taking in a neighbouring farm who was losing his farm, and his herd of 100 goats, they started creating their goat milk soaps using fresh milk from the farm.
